It’s almost a month since Avengers: Endgame was shown in the Philippines. It was first shown here on April 26, and I even had a somehow thought-provoking post in my personal Facebook account, when I asked people why they “Hate Spoilers.” Because, as for me, “I Love Spoilers” and I don’t mind it if people tell me what happened.
So, of course, before that post, I really had no understanding of why some people don’t like spoilers, especially for box-office and well followed movie franchises such as the Avengers. But when comments start pouring in, I was very much enlightened. I even kinda regretted knowing things before I got to watch the movie because I missed the opportunity of just taking every scene in, and having that fresh reaction as everything unfolded.
Anyway, so, about 4 weeks in, I’m still on an Avengers: Endgame high. I watch a lot of YouTube videos, where the cast was featured, where they were asked questions, and those videos that only featured the cast even if it’s not Avengers related.
But out of all the videos I watched, this was my favorite. It was a video made by the cast and featured at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon:
The thing is, my favorite in the cast is actually Chris Evans. Haaaayyy…. (the crush goes way before Captain America… hihihihi!)
Oh well, I’m married, and I have a toddler. So I’ll just leave his picture here. 🙂
And some people may not have watched it yet, even if it’s been running for weeks, so I’m not spoiling anything. 🙂
You may be wondering what’s the God-Guided Gal have to do with Avengers: Endgame. Well, I’m a fan, and I like the movie and how every movie linked together. And I guess that’s how masterful God is, whenever He orchestrates not just scenes and dialogues, but whole movies in our life. Our life is not just one book, but it is full of different and sometimes unrelated chapters that give each a place in a different book. It’s not just a chapter about Love in our Life, but it’s a book about how Love unfolded, how Love somehow died, and then how Love happened again. My life isn’t just about me, but there is also a book about my husband, a book about my kid, about my parents, just like how there came to be movies for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
So, I guess that is how I can relate it. I can be on a high for a certain movie for a certain period of time, just like I am on a high with certain events in my life. I may be in utter disbelief, or just surprised and in awe of certain things that unfolded in my life: the unexpected, the inevitable, the good and the bad. And as if I’m still in a cinema, watching as every scene occurs, there are times that I would love to know spoilers in my life. And then there are time where I don’t like them at all.
Life is one great movie franchise, directed by an ever imaginative and almighty God. 🙂
