Song Reflections

I am actually writing about a new category I’m adding in my blog: Song Reflections. As I am still figuring out the interface and visuals of this site, I still hope that more people will be blessed by the next few posts.

As mentioned somewhere in this blog, I am a Music Ministry Member in the Feast Bellevue Alabang. I have been a member for almost nine years.  I lead songs and worship about twice a month. And whenever I do this, I get to listen to songs and do reflections of them.

The first few contemporary Christian artists that I was able to listen to were Hillsong Worship, Matt Redman, Desperation Band, DC Talk, and Mercy Me. As the years progresses, and as I got deeper (and older) in my Music Ministry membership, I get the privilege to listen to songs by Hillsong United, Hillsong Young&Free, Bethel Music, Elevation Worship, Gateway Worship, Planetshakers, and Passion, among others.

I have attended concerts by Christian artists who have visited the Philippines, and was even more greatly moved to reflection by their actual performance of the song. Not that the performance mattered at the time I was in the same concert hall with these artists, but how these artists led us into worship with the songs. How they made me love God more was, I guess, first and foremost than the musicality and the production.

Since I listen to worship and Christian songs at least a day a week, I get to reflect also on some of them. So, without further ado, you shall also see some of those song reflections here in this blog, and I’ll also share the lyric videos so that you can sing along and reflect on then.

My ultimate aim for this page is to help you love God more and be open receivers of His love and grace through passionate and powerful music.

Always be blessed. Enjoy! 🙂
